Joseph C. Dagher was born in El-Mina, Tripoli, Lebanon, in 1977.  

• In June 1999, he recieved a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon.  
• In May 2002, he received his Master's degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona, under the advisory of Prof. Michael W. Marcellin.  
• Dr. Dagher graduated with a Ph.D. in Optics from UA's College of Optical Sciences on August 2006.  His dissertation advisors are Profs. Mark A. Neifeld and Michael W. Marcellin.  Dr. Dagher was a research assistant at both the Signal Processing and Coding Laboratory (SPACL) and the Optical Computing and Processing Laboratory (OCPL).
• During September 2006-Januray 2009, Dr. Dagher held a Senior Scientist position at CDM Optics, Inc .

The research interests of Joseph Dagher are in the areas of signal processing and data compression, optical signal acquisition, collaborative optical imaging and processing, task-specific imaging and the joint optimization of optical acquisition and post-processing systems.

Dr. Dagher is currently a Post Doctoral fellow at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine.
